Michael Hatch is a glassblower, living and working in Weaverville, North Carolina. He is the proprietor of Crucible Glassworks, creating both functional and sculptural art by, as he puts it, "...shaping molten glass with breath, gravity, and simple tools...I rely on five thousand years of traditions, techniques, and forms to inspire my work."
His Hopi Series of vases celebrates the shapes and forms so indicative of the southwest.
