Claudia Dunaway lives and creates wonderful pottery in Burnsville, North Carolina. There she is not only surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, but by a thriving art community. Her studio is called Yummy Mud Puddle, which she shares with her zany, Guild member husband, John Richards.
Claudia has been a potter for over 30 years, and her work is constantly evolving--both in form, and in surface design. A lot of Claudia's work is thrown on a potter's wheel and then altered, and some pieces are all hand-built with slabs.
This small vase is oval in shape, and made from a slab of clay. It is 5 1/2" high, with an opening of 3 7/8" by 1 1/4". High-fired, glazed stoneware is dishwasher safe.
