Blue Ridge Ornament

Glass Artist

Cheryl Stippich works on her original designs from her studio in the mountains using predominately the copper foil method of stained glass that was developed by Tiffany in the late 1800s. With a flair for refreshing contemporary design, she combines a rich palette of colors and textures with traditional fine craftsmanship to create dynamic works in glass.

Signature pieces incorporate materials not often found in stained glass such as polished geode slices, mineral specimens, vintage glass jewels, hammered brass and copper wire overlays, decorative soldering and enamel highlights that visually enhanc and add a three dimensional, multi-textured surface effect to her creations.
Jewels of the Nile
Deep cranberry glass with swirls of color flowing through accentuate the "waterfall" of vintage glass jewels. Finished with decorative soldering and brass came.
