John Gunther is a self-taught weaver of hand dyed, hand woven wool. He began in the early 70's and has developed his art to a unique master level. Stricking, contemporary, and always a pleasure to own, John's work ranges from abstract to realism landscape.

Self-taught, John Gunther has created and shown work for major craft shows and galleries throughout the country for over 30 years. His medium is mainly wool that John hand dyes and hand weaves on large floor looms. His work is clearly contemporary with emphasis on striking color, graphic design and landscape impact. Through experience and technique, John’s latest work takes on a quality of fine landscape in a timeless vision of dreamlike reality.
