Marcia McDade

Marcia McDade has been a member of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild for 26 years and has resided in the Blue Ridge Mountains since 1954. She received a BA from Salem College and a Masters Degree from Radford University (Phi Kappa Phi). Her studios are located in Stuart, VA and Bath, NC She works with silkscreen printing on both fabric and paper and combines these techniques with oil pastel embellishment.

Marcia McDade's current works are oil pastel drawings on silkscreen ink. They reflect her spiritual response to nature drawn from personal experiences, memories and dreaming. Marcia has been exhibiting her oil pastel & serigraph works for thirty years. She has a BA degree from Salem College, an MS Degree from Radford University and since that time she has participated in the Mountain Lake Workshops through Va Tech Foundation and has studied at the Art Students League in NYC and in Cortona Italy with the University of GA. Her works have been included in many corporate collections including the Bank of America and Wachovia, along with UVA, UNC, the Duke Foundation and the US State Department.
