Beadsmith

My work is done with needle and thread, one bead at a time. The intricate, time consuming, detailed nature of the work is therapy for both the hands and soul.

I have been learning the art of beadweaving for over 15 years, and continue to learn today by experimenting and taking risks. Collecting and playing with beads is a blast - they are wonderfully additive to touch and turn. I delight in the play of color and light within the delicate seed beads used in my pieces. Sometimes I use stones like turquoise or jasper as focal points for the work, and other times just allow the beads to shine for themselves.
