I make all kinds of quilted textiles, bed quilts and wall quilts, in traditional and contemporary styles. All are one of kind creations whether I use hand sewing skills or a home sewing machine.
Originally from Memphis, my husband, our son and I moved to Asheville, NC in 1989. I made my first quilt in 1990 after taking a beginners quilting class at our local community college. Immediately quilting and quilts became a passion of mine. My quilts have received numerous local and national awards and many have been juried into national quilt shows. Several have been published in magazines and books. Also I have done freelance quilt designs, patterns, and instructions for quilt kits. My love of quilts and quilt history inspired me to become an AQS Certified Appraiser of Quilted Textiles. I offer appraisal and evaluation services for newly made quilted textiles; traditional or art quilts; antique or vintage quilted treasures. Over the past 28 years I have made more than 130 quilts. In addition to making quilts I am a beekeeper with several bee hives in my backyard. I grow Japanese Indigo which I use to create one of a kind dyed fabrics.
