Basketry is actually my second career. I spent almost twenty years as a school psychologist. It is appropriate that my baskets become mathematically based, having spent my earlier career with testing, measurements, statistics, and math.

All of my baskets utilize Fibonacci numbers and the Nature Sequence to create baskets with a rhythmic, naturally flowing design. When you respond to my work, you are responding to the same proportions, ratios, and numbers that occur throughout the mathematical structure of spiral growth in nature. I am as passionate about making baskets today as I was when I started weaving in 1983.
