Originally from Memphis, my husband, our son and I moved to Asheville, NC in 1989. My family along with our 6 lb. poodle, Roxanne, live just outside Asheville on the northwest side of town. My husband and I are beekeepers and have several bee hives in our backyard.
I make all kinds of quilted textiles, bed quilts and wall quilts, traditional and contemporary. You just never know what I’ll come up with. I made my first quilt in 1990 after taking a beginners quilting class at our local community college. Immediately quilting and quilts became a passion of mine. My quilts have received numerous local and national awards and many have been juried into national quilt shows. Several have been published in magazines and books. Also I have done freelance quilt designs, patterns, and instructions for quilt kits. My love of quilts and quilt history inspired me to become an AQS Certified Appraiser of Quilted Textiles. I offer appraisal and evaluation services for newly made quilted textiles; traditional or art quilts; antique or vintage quilted treasures.
