Face in a Rose: This piece reflects a love of photography as well as art quilts. Pictures of peeling paint, drawings, textile paint, charcoal, ink and decorative machine work were the tools used to embellish the surface. The flower was crafted from hand painted rayon fabric. Bobbin couching with a heavier thread was used to do squiggle work which added movement to the piece. Photo By: Photo by Bill Palmer
About this Gallery: Equipped with camera and inkjet printer, I manipulate imagery to print on fabric. My love of deteriorating surfaces, rust and wood provide great subject matter. Heavy threadwork further accentuates each piece. |
