I frequently use Curly Cherry to make my pieces. This is a rare, natural variation that ocurrs in several species of trees including the Wild Black Cherry. The irregular grain pattern is a challenge to work with, but the results can be spectacular. Although each Curly Cherry board will look a little different, and therefore I'can't guarantee that your piece will look exactly like this image, the picture does give you a sense of what Curly Black Cherry can look like.
