Tross Light Sculpture - cherry/pecky hickory - lit: The Tross sculpture has a cherry frame with maple accents. Light is projected through 8 veneer diffuser panels illuminating the beauty and complexity of the pecky hickory wood grain. The frame has an oil/varish finish. The exterior of the veneer diffuser panels has a walnut oil finish and the interior of the veneer diffuser panels has a heat resistant, polymer resin finish. This sculpture is illuminted with two 10", incandescent, low-heat aquarium bulbs readily available online. Width: 32", height 6". Available by special order for $975.

About this Gallery: My light sculptures are a departure from the world of functionality, using the beauty and complexity of wood grain to flesh out imaginative forms from within in a manner rarely seen. Structurally my light sculpture makes use of the same techniques employed in my lamps and sconces
