Jacobs Ladder Heirloom Box: Front view of closed box. About this Gallery: This box was inspired by the Jacobs Ladder quilt block. The quilt blocks on the lid are inlaid using various woods and framed in walnut. The box sides are curly or birdseye maple while the corner ladders and wooden hinges are cherry. The ladders and box sides are angled slightly to suggest ascending to heaven. The ladders are inset into the mitered corners of the box and act to strengthen the box corners as well as serving as the box feet. The dimensions are 11.5 x 7 x 3.3 inches. |
