In its 70th year, the Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands returns to downtown Asheville’s U.S. Cellular Center. Filling both the concourse and arena levels of the venue, makers exhibit a variety of craft ranging from contemporary to traditional in works of clay, wood, metal, glass, fiber, natural materials, paper, leather, mixed media, and jewelry.

If you’re searching for a place to put your feet up and sip on a cold craft brew, head down to the South Slope and grab a pint from any of these folks. Walking Time is ~ 10 minutes, Half Mile.

Cultivating Craft in Your Daily Life | Design Vignettes

New this year, the Guild has partnered with several local interior designers, architects and builders from Western North Carolina to showcase how handcrafted can be incorporated into your daily life. With the purpose to combine talents of makers in the Guild and spacial creatives, the industry of craft is quintessential in transforming a house into a home. Below are the three vignettes for July.

Bring your Inner Creative to Life | July Demonstrators

The Southern Highland Craft Guild is a recipient of the Buncombe County Festival and Cultural Event Support Fund that is funded by the Asheville/Buncombe County Tourist Development Authority. It is specifically being used to elevate the Summer Edition of the Craft Fair with increased craft demonstrations at the Fairs, as well as live mannequins. Check back for more on this soon!
