Quick Overview

A corn-shuck knitter shows off the latest project on her needles!

Product Description

Handcrafted corn-shuck figure by Anne Freels of Clinton, Tennessee.

Anne's southern Appalachian heritage inspires so many of her creations, whether it's in the materials she uses, or in the message behind each piece.

On the hang-tag Anne writes: "The Knitter - she first dyes the wool, then spins it into yarn. Then with her nimble fingers she knits shawls, scarves, sweaters and socks for her family and friends."

Dressed in bright teal, with a pinafore of natural-colored corn shucks, this modern-day craftswoman holds up the beginning of her latest knitting project (maybe it's a scarf for you!).

Approximately 9 1/2 inches tall.

Artist statement included.
