Michael Rutkowsky's pottery always brings "oohs" and "aaahs" because no two pieces are exactly alike, and he keeps playing with glaze combinations and slip texturing, which makes each piece a true one-of-a-kind. Michael's pottery studio and home are in Burnsville, NC, amidst the beautiful rolling hills of Western North Carolina.
His work is predominantly functional, from tall, table lamps to salad plates to his sturdy utensil holders!
This piece is approximately 6½" high and has a 4½" opening at the top, allowing for lots of spoons, whisks, spatulas and whatever other utensils you use to cook with! It could also be used for cut flowers, paint brushes, knitting needles...!
Glazed in celedon on the inside and top and bottom rim, with the natural clay exposed on the body, with a trailing of glaze in a dark brown.
Stoneware is dishwasher safe.
