Product Description

Jim Cornell lives and creates in his home and studio in Landrum, South Carolina.  Jim's been a member of our Guild since 1983, and has been delighting us with his artistry, talent, and humor ever since!  Jim's techniques involve hand-throwing, slabs/molds, altering, and carving--the latter being the most recognizable feature of his pottery.  Most of his pieces have high-relief carving of some sort--some pictorial, others pure texture.

This leaf-shaped tray could be used to serve bread, crackers, fresh fruit, or desserts.  It's also just lovely on its own, and would make a terrific centerpiece on a table.  Though most of Jim's work is dishwasher safe, because of the curled "stem" on the one end, hand-washing is recommended.

Approximately 18 in. long, 6 in. wide, and 4 in. high (at top of curled stem).

Artist statement included.
