Tamela Wells uses polymer clay and PMC (precious metal clay) to create jewelry which is at once contemporary and timeless. She lives and works in Asheville, North Carolina studio, where she finds inspiration in the natural world right outside her door.
This unique necklace is part of her Pebble Series, with individually hand formed beads, and each color mixed in small batches. Tamela has always loved color, so this series simply represents her love of color mixing and creating subtle tones and textures. Each of the pebbles in this necklace has been "stamped" with a contrasting ring of color--some matte, some shiny.
Sterling silver chain enables the wearer to adjust the length from 18 to 20 inches.
Artist statement included.
