This wooden "Jack-o-Lantern" was turned from a Sycamore tree which had fallen during Hurricane Ivan. It is an impressive feat of woodworking, and an impressive piece of wood!
Gary Bills sees beauty in a tree's "imperfections"--burls, knots, rough edges, spalting--and uses his skills as a woodworker to enhance these beauty marks.
This piece is approximately 12 in. high and 13 in. in diameter.
Signed, and comes with an artist statement.
