Bill and Tina Collison of Unicoi, Tennessee, collaborate on wonderful wood-turned pieces.
This bowl is made from fiddle-back maple with a natural edge. The inside is stained a tomato-red, except for the spots where silhouettes of maple leaves expose the natural color of the wood. Maple leaves have also been cut out of the bowl, adding even more dimension to this unusual treasure!
The bowl, intended for decorative purposes only, is coated with shellac to protect the surface.
8 3/8 in. wide, 5 3/8 in. deep, and 3 1/4 high.
Artist statement included.
