Jim McPhail turns miniature wooden bowls which delight youngsters and mature persons alike!
His palette includes over 200 woods from all around the world, and each bowl has at least 10 different layers of wood--most have many more than that. By working in such a small scale, Jim can show off the beauty of certain woods which might be lost on a larger piece.
The primary woods used in this bowl are Bloodwood and Lignum Vitae. The bowl is 2 3/4 inches in diameter, and 13/8 inches high.
Each bowl (and stand) is signed and numbered.
