Alan Daigre Designs are inspired by natural textures and clean, simple lines. The artist's signature work is a line of rope rockers that stun and satisfy every one who tries one. Even at first look, the timeless and elegant lines tell of the artistry and fine materials.

Alan became as a professional woodworker after an extended career as a clinical social worker. His transformation began at a week-long chair-making workshop vacation 14 years ago. Alan has since become well respected—and awarded—for his unique designs and excellent craftsmanship. He has exhibited in the most prestigious juried fine craft shows east of the Mississippi, including the Philadelphia Invitational Fine Furniture Show, the American Craft Council Shows in Baltimore and Atlanta, and the American Craft Exposition in Chicago.

Alan is a juried member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild—the oldest and most respected craft guild in the US—as well as the Tennessee Association of Craft Artists, and the Mississippi Craftsmen's Guild. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Arts Center of Cannon County, is the past treasurer and current vice president of the Cumberland Furniture Guild, and is the current president of the Stones River Craft Association.

In 2009, Alan was featured on the PBS television series "Tennessee Crossroads," and has been interviewed in the Murfreesboro Post, The Daily News Journal, The Tennessean, and Nashville Public Radio (WPLN).
