Mudventions are the product of my cosmic imagination mingling with my hands in mud. Inspired by the textures, patterns and unusual organisms of nature I create a rare undersea garden of earthly treasures, cerebral concoctions and cosmic delights. Exploring the endless creative possibilities of the ceramic process is seductive therapy for my soul.
Bridget Fox is a full time ceramic artist who creates colorful, textured exotic forms in clay called Mudventions. Her desire for a creative life profession using her hands drove her to pursue an art degree at the University of Georgia where she received a BFA in Ceramics in 1996. Since then she has devoted her life to the muddy path of a ceramic artist. She has continued to grow her education by taking intensive workshops in architectural ceramics, glaze formulation, slip casting and mold making. Her persistent dedication to creating one of a kind pieces in her unique style has won her many awards.
After completing a residency at the Energy Xchange she decided to remain in the mountains of western North Carolina surrounded by an environment of inspiring natural beauty and an amazing creative community. Her current studio is in an old commercial mushroom factory in Micaville, NC. To see more of her eclectic collection of creations visit http://mudventions.com
