I create cloth dolls with an emphasis on joy.

I learned to sew from my mom when I was very young. Made my first dolls as a teenager and then went on to have a 'regular' career in the computer industry. I bailed out at 40 and have been making dolls and teaching dollmaking ever since. I discovered John C. Campbell Folk School in the late 1990's and designed my first doll with Dee Dee Triplett. Moved from Michigan to western NC shortly thereafter and found my tribe. Other adults who were interested in making their life (and sometimes their living) using their hands and hearts. It has been a great time!

for my current schedule and list of galleries that carry my work all year around.
