I design and create one-of-a-kind art jewelry in Sterling, 22K gold, precious stones. I personally perform all the creative aspects involved in my work.
Born and raised in New York City, my exposure to the art world began at an early age being the daughter of fine artist, sculptor and commercial artist, I. Paul Rader.
I was educated in music and dance at the Julliard School of Music and the American School of Ballet where I performed with the New York City Ballet Company. I studied painting and sculpture with my father as well as clay methods at the Museum of Modern Art and various painting, clay and photography classes throughout high school. After leaving high school I became a banker with a carrier that spanned 22 years in NY, Miami and Atlanta.
In the late 70’s I met and married a jewelry designer, in Monroe New York where I was introduced to the world of metalwork. Although I did not do any of the technical aspects involved in creating the jewelry, I was very involved with the designing of the pieces.
During the time I was a banker, I kept my interest in the art world and one day I decided to reconnect with my creative self which led me down the path to my new life as a metal smith. As I am self taught, my carrier evolved slowly beginning 29 years ago and I am now a full time artist for the past 21 years, participating in Fine Art shows throughout the country.
