"Knitting and spinning are magical activities for me."
I'm a fiber artist who has been knitting since childhood. I learned to spin 20 years ago and now spin and dye yarns, knitting them into lace shawls and scarves. I use various fibers and dyeing techniques to enhance the lace patterns, often incorporating glass beads in my scarves and shawls.
Along with being a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, I'm a member of the Western North Carolina Fibers/Handweavers Guild. I'm a regular demonstrator at Fiber Day and Heritage Weekend.
