Imagine wearing a blindfold while driving down a busy road. Someone says: ‘Make a U-turn, now!’ I don’t know what a piece will be and trusting the vivid visions. At age 7, I discovered my mother’s 1930’s Weave-It Pin Loom and was occupied for hours weaving squares. Today, that pin loom (and others) is an integral part of my artistic practice. I also incorporate crochet, embroidery, beading and a technique I call Talpa Sculpting. U-turns always show up in life. I strive to create beautiful U-turns that inspire new paths.
