Nestled in the mountains of North Carolina, Robin creates handcrafted functional stoneware pottery, paying special attention to form and design with a creative edge.


Robin Kirby has studied clay at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Haywood Community College in the Professional Crafts Department. She has been working in her home studio in Saluda, NC since 2005. She is a proud member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild since 2010. Robin enjoys making functional pottery for home use with a creative and decorative interpretation. Her new work finds inspiration in Indigenous basket weaving, ancient pottery and patterns found in art from around the world. Her work is microwave and dishwasher safe.
