My earliest memories are of working with fibers whether it be making doll clothes, then being taught to knit by my mother, and next making my own clothes - and today exploring the world of felting.
Deborah Watson has been a felter for 12 years. At first a handspinner and weaver but upon the receipt of a "gift" of several sheep the felting of their wool took over and a business was formed.
Handfelted wool is transformed into custom-colored fabrics which turn into wooly vegetables, santas, and other holiday items, hats, scarves and lately fashion-forward garments.
Deborah has participated in many juried and invitational shows. She has also been selected by "Early American Homes" magazine for their directory of the 200 top traditional American craftsmen.
