Handwoven scarf, double weave in an undulating twill pattern using handspun cotton and sari silk.  The scarf is woven in double weave, alternating a color changing cotton with the sari silk in the weft.  The twill structure combined with fine handspun singles gives luscious drape to the scarf.

“Sari silk is short bits of multi-colored silk fiber reclaimed from the manufacturer of saris in India.  It is available as a spinning fiber and can be hand spun on a Gandhi wheel.  This is the wheel I use for spinning cotton.”
