“Since 1974 I have been a proud member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. It is a multi faceted organization supporting crafts and the arts in the south- east. I have been a part of the many opportunities of the guild from fair demonstrations to exhibits and now the Online Store for sales. Parting with these quilts is very sentimental as each one has a historical link with my career. It is my hope that my “people” will enjoy them; link them with a special book or aid them in their own teaching efforts.”
Since 1978 when her television program, Lap Quilting with Georgia Bonesteel debuted on North Carolina Public Television Georgia has been one of the most watched and notable teachers in quilting. Her methods and designs respect traditions and push quilters to explore creativity.
The quilts in this collection have traveled with Georgia over the years, throughout her Television shows and demonstrations. If there are noticeable blemishes, detailed photos will be provided.
