Annah Bible-Sullivan is a Western North Carolina native. She just graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Professional Crafts Wood from Haywood Community College. She has always drawn inspiration from the mountains she grew up in. As a studio woodworker, she creates furniture and accessories utilizing regional design themes and materials.
“The mountain forests have raised me. I grew up experiencing the wonder of the Appalachians, their soft yet towering presence, blanketed with an abundance of vegetation and wildlife. The bedroom window of my childhood home looked into the forest, inspiring me to forage, collect, and bring its beauty indoors. My desire to fill interior spaces with the wildness of Appalachia remains. As an emerging woodworker, I meet this need by crafting furniture and accessories inspired by and made from the Appalachian hardwoods. My works combine traditional and contemporary ideas to create unique modern designs. My vision is to create furniture and accessories that bring a piece of my woods ad mountains into every home.” – Annah Bible-Sullivan
