Description

A cheerful bundle of wheat straws, woven into “plaits” have decorated homes since ancient times.  The abundance of seed heads assures the household that there will always be something to eat, even if times are hard.  House blessings were given as gifts, also, as a form of seed sharing from farm to farm.  The intricate weavings were thought to hold the spirit of the grain, and even when the seed finally falls, the design will last a lifetime if handled with care.
