"I look long and hard to find an extraordinary piece of wood with fantastic figure to create your piece of art."

Maple burl hollow form with a natural edge, turned on a lathe.  Artist Gary Bills uses wood from trees that have blown down in storms and are left to rot in the Appalachian mountains.  Each piece is cataloged with a burned number on the bottom along with his signature.
