Hollis Fouts

$275.00

Naturally crafted framed botanical contact print on fabric. On display at the “Natural Direction” focus gallery located at the Folk Art Center, NC.

“I work with natural, locally sourced botanical materials to celebrate the natural beauty of our surroundings. These eco dyed papers are created with organic botanicals, found elements, natural dyes and a damp heat process that transfers the plant dyes to paper. I am fascinated with the resulting unpredictable graphic transformation of nature to paper as well as the documentation of the environment throughout the seasons. My work magnifies and abstracts the essence of nature providing personal meaning and context in the transformation. Each print is unique and evocative, with an unusual depth and nuance in its own natural language.”
