Dottie Baker

Dottie Baker has made handmade pots since 1968, and taught pottery at various colleges and universities from 1986 to 2009. After retiring from teaching ceramics at Central Piedmont Community College, she moved to the High Country, where she owns and operates High Meadows Pottery.


Clay artist Dottie Baker is one of the 5 Southern Highland Craft Guild members showcasing their work in the Focus Gallery located upstairs in the Folk Art Center.  The Folk Art Center serves as the headquarters to the Southern Highland Craft Guild. It houses three galleries, a library, a craft shop and the Blue Ridge Parkway information desk and bookstore.
