Description
Artist Ray Byram brings landscapes to life in his serigraphs. Serigraphy is a printmaking technique using silk screens. After Ray creates an original oil painting, he separates the painting by color, usually identifying 16-22 different colors that make up the whole painting. Then a silk screen is created for each color that is then hand pulled, layered one over another until completion. Ray finds his inspiration throughout the eastern mountains and forests, particularly in North Georgia and North Carolina. Each serigraph is numbered and signed.
