Artist Lawrence Kearson spent most of his life in the Southern Appalachian Mountains with the NC Wildlife Commision. After retirement, his carving hobby transformed into dedicated craftsmanship. His work preserves many of the traditional techniques of the area, and embodies the spirit of the mountains.
