Gigi Renee' artist and independent business owner living in the beautiful mountains of Asheville North Carolina. My journey as an artist from the beginning has been essential and intuitive. As a lover of nature and fashion, Eco Printing, a direct contact plant dyeing process using Botanicals and metals on natural fibers was an anticipated progression in my design work. Using a variety of plants native to my region and others in combination with indigo, rust dying, shibori techniques, hand stitching, new and reclaimed materials are united to create original designs. The results are organically beautiful contemporary craft wearable art designs, as unique as the people who wear them.
