Our brick & mortar stores are opening the first week of June and we are abiding by the orders of Buncombe county that require face masks be worn inside retail locations. We will have face masks available upon request. Our online shop is offering free shipping and curbside pick-up at our Tunnel Road location by appointment only. Group events scheduled through June have been cancelled. Sign up for our newsletter or check our Facebook page for the latest information.

Our mission is to inspire a passion for ceramic art and nurture creative exploration through education, experience, relationship, and community.

Our center houses a gallery that displays hundreds of pieces made by resident potters and local artists in other media, a fully equipped resident potters’ studio, education facilities that offer a wide variety of weekly clay classes, a two-year independent study & mentoring program, studio apprentice program, and a Laguna Clay distribution center. Judi Harwood, Melanie Mitchell Robertson, and Sarah Wells Rolland are long-term members of The Southern Highland Guild and work as resident potters and instructors at The Village Potters Clay Center. They are located in The River Arts District of Asheville, NC.
